“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.

The worst thing you can do is nothing.”
Theodore Roosevelt

I am an overthinker. I can rarely make a decision without considering the consequences. It’s great when I’m out shopping and don’t want to buy something impulsively. However, it can be paralyzing. Sometimes, I spend so much time weighing my options, that I never choose one.

That’s where balance comes in. During my time as a Leadership Consultant, I had to make decisions. About planning. About events. During events. It was important that I weighed by options, but that I put them to action. If I did not, it would affect more than just myself.

One example of this was during a MasonLIFE workshop. On this specific day, we had a variety of activities planned. We had a very clear idea of what we wanted to do. So did our participants. In that instance, it was more important that we consider what others were comfortable with than stick to a plan.
